Sustainable Capsule Collection
The MUB project provides a unique capsule wardrobe to citizens committed to sustainability and awareness of the power of social design and innovation.
The fabrics used for the Eucalyptus Trousers were sourced by Empty Your Wardrobe partnering with Beirholm Lagersalg. These are discarded textiles considered as waste, which we hunt at the factory in Denmark.
The reused textiles were naturally dyed by Warm and Wild and tailored by Dahlia Rodríguez. During the making process, Marta used eucalyptus leaves to create this beautiful grey colour. And not only the colour is nice, but also the scent that the eucalyptus leaves in the fabric makes these trousers even more magical.
Dahlia combined two different fabrics from the collection with a minimal-waste pattern to make the trousers. The stronger fabric but shining was used for the waistband while the lighter one, 100% cotton-based, was used for the legs. A small scrap was used to make some bias and cover the button.
By adding value, using our skills, we have managed to extend the life capacity of discarded fabrics. We have created beautiful, luxury and wearable trousers.
The pattern used aims to highlight the beauty of the natural dyeing, be comfortable and fit easily.
